In addition to our importing service for adult dogs, Tarheel Canine also administers a breeding program for the Belgian Malinois and the close cousin the Dutch Shepherd. Our puppies are guaranteed to be free of communicable diseases, and to be free of inherited diseases. Please check our litter announcements for puppies.

Below you will see our top stud dogs. These dogs are bred to our imported females, with the purpose of producing healthy puppies with the drives to work in police or sport, or for your family's personal security. Occasionally we have young dogs available between 6 months and 18 months out of our own breedings.

Purpose and Guarantee

Our general purpose in our breeding program is to produce Belgian Malinois here in the US to the standards of the top kennels in Europe. We are looking to produce a high drive Malinois with high prey instincts, social to neutral with strangers, but also with a serious nature born of strong nerves and confident defensive instincts. We also wanted to introduce some more calmness into our breeding, particularly useful in tracking and searching, the ability to internalize the drives in tracking and searching makes the dogs more deliberate and methodical and less distracted. Explosive drive, strong nerves, with the ability to calm is what we are after.

Puppy Purchase Agreement

Making reservations is highly recommended. You can reserve a puppy by calling us at 1-800-766-9032 and sending a deposit of US $250.00. Visa and Mastercard are accepted, or a money order or cashier's check. Please, no personal checks. The price of the puppies will be $850.00 for the pick male or female and $750 for the others. The balance due will be payable before shipping or pick-up. Please call or click on the link below for our complete written guarantee and terms of purchase. We guarantee against any communicable diseases after your receipt of the puppy. Veterinary exam is required within 72 hours of taking possession of the puppy. We also guarantee working quality puppies against hip or elbow dysphasia. Hips must be prelimed at 1 year of age.
